Recipe: Coconut-Lime Acai Smoothie
This is not your typical smoothie! Inspired by classic Caribbean cocktails, this ultra-refreshing and light acai smoothie blends hydrating coconut water with a berry base for a simple but satisfying combination that works perfectly on a hot, late summer afternoon. We’ve added tart, fresh lime and sprigs of mint to capture the flavor of a tropical beverage, along with a handful of blueberries to double up on antioxidant power.
For this recipe, we used Nativo Puro Acai, which contains no added sweeteners or sugar. You can add your own sweetener to taste, in the form of options like agave or honey. We recommend starting with a generous drizzle; you can always add a bit more if you prefer your smoothie on the sweeter side!
Coconut-Lime Acai Smoothie
1 3.5 oz. (100g) Nativo Puro Acai Smoothie Pack
1 Cup of Frozen Organic Blueberries
1/2 Cup of Coconut Water
Juice from 1 – 2 Fresh Limes
2 Sprigs of Fresh Mint (Approx. 6 – 8 leaves)
1 tbsp. raw honey or agave nectar (optional – more to taste)
Run Nativo Puro smoothie pack under running water for a few seconds to thaw, then gently break acai into smaller pieces with a knife and place in blender. Add one cup of frozen berries, lime juice, fresh mint, and raw honey or agave. Add a splash of coconut water, then blend on high, slowly adding remaining coconut water to mixture while blending. Enjoy immediately!
